Dharma Discussion Group

The Dharma Discussion Group is a sangha of LGBT people committed to practicing the dharma, and interested in sharing their experience with each other.

The Dharma Discussion Group welcomes, in fact encourages, people from different schools of thought. The idea is to have a regular forum in which to discuss aspects of Buddhism and practice, from our various perspectives.

It is our hope that by our commitment to participating in this group, we will plant the seeds for a broader LGBT sangha in the DC area. The meetings take place over a pot-luck dinner following zazen at the Friends Meeting House. You do not have to participate in or practice zazen to join the discussion group. Nor do you have to bring a dish to share if you have already eaten dinner.

Currently there is no scheduled date and time for the next discussion group. If you are interested in participating, please send us email indicating your interest and we will notify you as soon as the discussion group begins again.
